Alliances

4th Sector Health brokers partnerships with businesses, foundations, NGOs and governments to jointly develop solutions that address pressing Health Challenges in Latin America. By coordinating the development of health programs, we help convene Alliances that promote equity and development through healthier, productive societies. We leverage partner resources, expertise, technology, equipment, and infrastructure to achieve broad reach and impact.

Our Alliances

4th Sector is partnering with Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) to fight Chagas disease, an illness caused by a common parasite in South and Central America. The disease results in 12,000 deaths every year. 4th Sector Health is teaming with DNDi to develop and disseminate communication materials adapted to different target populations in endemic countries.

4th Sector Health has teamed with Ericsson and Claro to launch the Innovations Lab for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) initiative in Nicaragua, which will support Sustainable Sciences Institute’s (SSi) development of software and mobile phone applications to improve maternal and child health.

Kimberly-Clark (K-C) Colombia and 4th Sector Health initiated an alliance in September to improve maternal and child health among poor and marginalized women throughout the Andean region. Kimberly-Clark’s Corporate Social Responsibility goals of improving maternal and child health through the use of its products are aligned with its core business model.

Dole Corporation’s Fundación Dale and 4th Sector Health signed an alliance in September 2010 to promote responsible reproductive health behavior among youth in the Guayas, Los Rios, and Manabi provinces of Ecuador.
